Flat items are generally anything that ships flat and falls under the standard base pricing tier. Common examples include but not limited to:
- Photos & Magazines (up to 16×20)
- Trading Cards (non-rookie, unless listed separately)
- Tickets
- Funkos (unless listed as their own category by the promoter)
A few things to keep in mind:
- Rookie Cards may be listed as their own separate category for certain signings — check the event page for details.
- Funkos are sometimes classified as a Premium item by certain promoters even though only the box is sent in flat.
- Oversized flats, canvases, posters, and original artwork may be bumped to Premium depending on the promoter's guidelines.
Regular items are mid-tier pieces that don't qualify as Flats but aren't as large or bulky as Premium items. Common examples include but not limited to:
- Mini Helmets
- Baseballs & Pucks
- Mini Basketballs
- McFarlane figures
- Funkos (when listed as Regular by the promoter)
These items typically require a custom quote before ordering due to their size, value, or unique handling needs. Please reach out to us via email before submitting an order form so we can confirm pricing and verify the item is suitable for that signing.
Proper labeling is important so we can match your item to your order and follow your signing instructions correctly. Visit our Labels & Instructions page for step-by-step guidance specific to your item type.
Yes — we will email you to let you know your item(s) has arrived.
Yes, you can send your item directly to Trifecta Sports from a store or vendor. Just make sure to give us a heads up before setting up that arrangement so we can keep an eye out for it.
If a player cancels their scheduled appearance, you will receive a full refund for the signing fee.
Please note: Trifecta Sports Collectibles is not involved in the planning, booking, or pricing of players or events. Our role is to facilitate mail-in and pre-order submissions on your behalf. All signings are courtesy of the event organizer, and cancellations are handled accordingly.
No — we supply pens for every signing. However, if you'd like us to use a specific pen, you're welcome to include it with your item. There is no guarantee we'll be able to use it, but we'll do our best to accommodate the request.
Yes — note your preferences (pen color and signature placement) on your order form or labeling instructions and we will do our best to follow them. That said, we cannot guarantee specific results. Final decisions are always at the athlete's discretion, including:
- Where they place the signature on the item
- Which pen color they use
All shipments include a tracking number and will be emailed to you prior to sending out to confirm the address is correct. Depending on the package, items will be shipped via USPS or UPS.
If you're sending something of significant value, we strongly recommend purchasing insurance and requesting a signature confirmation for added protection.
YES. All shipments include a tracking number that will be emailed to you prior to sending out to confirm your address is correct.
No — but we do try to process items with Return Labels first when the signing is completed.
No. Items tied to autograph signings — whether you sent your own item or purchased one through us — are not eligible for return. All sales are final.
Refunds are only issued if a player cancels their scheduled appearance.
Simply write "NO COA" on a Post-it note or painter's tape attached to your item. We will communicate this request and make sure the authentication sticker is not placed on your item.
That said, there are some cases where an athlete will apply their own personal COA sticker regardless of the request — this is beyond our control. For example:
- Emmitt Smith will always apply his personal COA sticker to every item he signs
- Barry Bonds followed the same protocol during his signings
When this happens, it is part of the player's required signing protocol and we have no choice but to follow it.
It depends on the player. Every athlete operates differently when it comes to inscriptions:
- Some players only sign pre-approved inscriptions — you must choose from their approved list
- Some players have restrictions on certain words or phrases
- Others will write whatever you request within reason
We'll always let you know what's allowed for each specific signing when you place your order.
No — in most cases it is a 3-word max, but this varies by signing. Depending on the promoter:
- Some signings allow up to 4 words per inscription
- Some signings allow 1 achievement inscription which may be longer than 4 words (e.g. Joe Montana: "SB XVI-XIX-XXIV MVP")
We'll always include the specific inscription rules for each event when you receive your order confirmation.
