The San Jose Sharks advanced tonight to the Stanley Cup semi-finals.  They will either face the Blackhawks or Red Wings.  Both teams that have eliminated the Sharks in the past.  Can they get to the Finals...I think so, but just getting there won't be enough. With the success of the SF Giants, just getting there won't do.

The autograph scene in the Bay Area is pretty exciting now that the Giants have won the World Series.  The 49ers, Warriors, Raiders, and A's all have taken a back seat to the Giants and probably will for awhile.  The San Jose Sharks are the closest team to winning a championship, but still not too popular of a sport in the Bay Area.

Next year when the SF Giants win the World Series again, I will be sure to budget money for the before and after effect of them winning the World Series.  I could not believe how much money it cost to celebrate them winning.  Anything World Series I wanted to own.  WOW!

Why am I already nervous for the first game of the series.  Game #1 i believe will be the most important game of the series.  If the Giants can beat Cliff Lee, the other pitchers will fold and the Giants will be victorious in 5 games.  

Win game #1...Win game #2...Lose game #3...Win game #4 and win game #5.

Game 4 is the key.  If we win today (10/20), we close it out tomorrow with Lincecum on the mound.  If we lose today for some reason, it goes to game 7 with Cain closing it out in Philly.  I hope it doesn't get to that, but either way I see the Giants heading to the World Series.  Giants baseball...TORTURE!  Gotta love it!
